Rick came out shooting and took the early lead on the front nine of the first round. Al Dyson seemed in command for the long drive competition which Fruitcake cousin Ron usually dominates. Ray was playing well and was in a fine second place position after the front nine. The net score summary at the first turn were:

3. Ron 42
4. Al 43
